James Perryman was born and raised in Cornwall in the United Kingdom, and continues to live in England.
Despite studying law at the University of Exeter, and working in business ever since, it is the healing wonder of poetry, good friends and sheer determination that have kept him sane and alive to date. He has written poetry, which he considers a form of cathartic therapy, since his early teenage years and was first published in a collection of poems written by young adults at the age of 16.
He finds inspiration from personal experience, in particular from relationships past, present and future, and does his best writing whilst alone, lost in the wilderness of the countryside. When not reading or writing poetry, he can often be found travelling, spending time with family and friends or attending music concerts.
